He enjoys the outdoors, fishing, rafting and snow-machining, sports, and doing almost anything with his family and friends!
Josh is married to his high school sweetheart, Joni for 25yrs. They have 6 children and are so blessed with the richness of family life together.
Josh currently serves as Lead Pastor of Unite Church.
Joni’s greatest desire is to be who her Father created her to be and to be obedient to that in every season of her life.
Her primary mission over the past 24 years has been raising her 6 awesome kids, Caleb, Maggie, Judah, Titus, Justus, and Cherish. Her goal is that they would know and love themselves, God, and others. This “mothering” passion flows naturally into the relationships that she has with the body of Christ. Not content to stay on the surface for long, Joni loves to dive deep into the things of the heart and to get to know people on a human level. Joni desires to be a part of developing a healthy thriving church and this desire fuels her investments into personal mentorships, teaching classes, and facilitating groups. Joni loves to see people set free from their past wounds and hurts and to run unhindered into their kingdom callings. Joni has the heart of a worshipper and desires to host the tangible presence of God. She has been worship leading since she was a teen. She graduated from Texas Bible Institute earning her Certificate in Biblical studies. In college, Joni majored in fine art at UAA and is an accomplished painter. Her work has been featured in various local galleries and won several national competitions. She still continues to create and hopes to bring joy to people’s lives through her work. Joni is an entrepreneur who loves the challenge of buying something ugly or struggling and turning it into something beautiful or profitable.
Joni is married to her best friend and high school sweetheart Josh Tanner. They currently reside in Anchorage Alaska where they serve Jesus together at Unite Church.
